| The ABGSL is a volunteer organization -- and it takes a lot of volunteering to keep several hundred girls playing softball. Where some organizations allow parents to "buy out" of their volunteer responsibilities, we find that this practice undercuts the spirit of love and dedication that's at the heart of our league. ABGSL requires all families to contribute to running both their team and the league as a whole. Since the responsibility is distributed so widely, only very few of the jobs are a serious burden. Most parents find that their jobs are a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and have some fun! For more complete information, see How ABGSL Works.
