| Impact Fund Huskies 16, On The Beam Remodeling Hot Huskies 1 |
The Huskies Ella Friedson led off the game with a single and followed that up with two more hits later in the game. Huskies' Sofia Campos-Seligman continued her hot hitting, with a liner up the middle that hit the pitching machine and then ricocheted towards the sideline and landed into Asst. Coach Stanley's dog bowl. Wow! Lots of nice plays were made on defense by both teams. The Hurricanes Mollie Sequeira scooped up several balls at first base, as did teammate Kyra Kawamoto at second base.. A solid overall game was played by Huskies' Angela Fike who demonstrated great speed on the bases and made two put outs as catcher in the same inning. On offense the Hurricanes' Mallory McGrane drove in a run and her teammate Olivia Montforte ripped a solid single to the left side in the 4th. | Ibble Wibble Wackys Devil Duckies 2, Friedman Brueggemeyer Tree Frogs 0 |
Friedman Brueggemeyer Tree Frogs hosted Ibble Wibble Wackys Devil Duckies in what would ultimately end in a shut-out win for the visiting team. The Devil Duckies started the game off right with Alex Arriola hitting a soft infield grounder followed by Sophia Schneider's hard base hit to right field, which drove in the Devil Duckies' first run of the game. The Tree Frogs battled back with remarkable defensive efforts, including impressive pitching by Maite Ibanez de Garayo and smart fielding by all. The Tree Frogs' offense then struggled to gain momentum as Devil Duckies' Lauren Messina-Douvos made two unassisted outs in the first inning and pitchers Gemma Hunt, Sophia Schneider, and Lila Jansen each pitched hitless innings their first time out. Despite increasing defensive efforts in the innings that followed - with fielding that left Devil Duckies' Julia Cooke and Bailey Kobelin stranded on base after two hits each and despite staying true to their slogan "We catch flies!" - with lively catches by Tayah Blanck, Emily "Duck" Ireland, Sierra Lee, and Kennedy Grant - the Tree Frogs were unable to prevent an RBI by Gemma Hunt, which resulted in the Devil Duckies' second run of the game. The Tree Frogs fought hard to stay in the game and within striking distance of the win, but, in the end, the Devil Duckies' persevered with vigorous defensive efforts that allowed them to maintain their two-run lead for the win. |

The Tacos played valiantly to stay in the game: Annie Wanless, Emma Steinheimer, and Julie Moorad contributed with great hitting and running for the them.
